Facts About Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi was born on June 24, 1987 in Rosario, Argentina. He started playing the sport at a young age and joined the youth team of Newell’s Old Boys, a local club in his hometown.

When Messi was 13 years old in 2000, he was offered the chance to play for FC Barcelona’s youth team. Soccer clubs became quite interested in Messi due to his extraordinary skills.

At the age of 17, he made his professional debut for FC Barcelona, becoming him the youngest player to ever play for the club.
